Accepted

Today was an interesting day. I had an admissions interview. I had no idea I was going to have one. She asked me questions about how long i have been interested in photography, what is my life goal, and things like that. The interview was over in minutes. She told me she was shocked at how determined I was to do this. She said our interview went faster than most. And.....she approved me. I am just waiting for a call from financial services and the process will begin!!!!!

Jill's belly

A couple of weeks ago I took my first maternity photos. The mommy to be is actually my manager at work. She is about 7 1/2 months here. It was so fun. I am still learning so this shoot was excellent practice. I normally shoot in my garage but that day it rained so I had to be on my feet and move around. We ended up moving the couch and shooting in the living room. Here are a few photos I liked.

Santa Barbara

Well, I made it through. I had a blast at my tour of the campus. I don't know how many times I squealed to my mom in excitement about the programs and the location. Santa Barbara is so beautiful. The whole town has amazing architecture. Every building is white, it makes it hard to find restaurants when you are new in town. It was fun though. We got to see photo-shoots in progress. There were people shooting water and the way it pours, people were dropping things into the water. It was awesome. Being there made me want to go out and take a bunch of photos. I guess that's what it should do. haha. I liked it, however, I am still praying about it.
This was a view from the Jefferson campus.

This one is a view from the Jefferson campus as well.

Ok, I know this looks like a random sign but my mom did not like this sign. She was driving and I was reading the map quest directions. It told us to go to the roundabout and turn on the third exit. Well, We got turned around because there was no third exit and most the roads were closed off. So we had to go up and down the hill passing this roundabout several times in order to find it. Every time we saw the sign she said "Oh no" it was funny because it was so annoying. I posted this for her.

I saw this cloud and thought of my sister. If you can't tell what it is, it's an elephant
At least that's what I see.

La Escuela

Well, tomorrow is a big day for me. In fact it is so big that I am avoiding going to bed because as soon as I lay my head down it will be tomorrow already. I am leaving to tour a campus in Santa Barbara. It is Brooks Institute of Photography. It is said to be the number one photography school in California. Those who know me know that I am freaking out. I am so excited and it would be an opportunity of a life time. I am just waiting to see if its what I want. I know that I will like the school but right now it scares me. I don't want anyone else's feeling to push me in any direction. I want to make this decision because it's Gods will. I want whatever He wants for me. I am just a little nervous. If you are reading this please say a prayer.

Beach Photos

Today I had a great day. For the last two days I have been so lucky to have my sister and brother open up their home to me. I wanted to go to San Diego for photo opportunity (you know, photograph other colors than brown) and of course to spend time with my family. Well, this morning I woke up early enough to witness the sunrise. It was so amazing to see how beautiful God's work is. The colors were so gorgeous and the waves, so beautiful. Of course it was freezing, we are expecting a storm, but I was able to stay out and take some pictures.

These were photos from the pier with my larger lens. I had a blast. The waves don't look that big but they were bigger than I have ever seen.
