Alright....alright

I am warning you now that this is going to be a long post. I have been falling behind on my posting days. I was waiting to edit my photos but the longer I wait, the more photos I get. So I apologize now for posting unedited photos. Please try not to notice :0)

A lot of things have been going on lately. School is great. I am learning flash now (I will post pictures of them later). I have been visiting family. Getting ready for the holidays, and now my Grandparents from Kansas are in town. Busy, busy, busy.

Here are some photos from school assignments.
This is my parents (about 5 min after shooting this it started to hail). The assignment was called Love.
I know these two look the same but they aren't.
This a self portrait, the assignment was Hot. I wanted to viewer to be in the oven.
This is my single light portrait assignment. I was photographing an artist in his environment.
Alright, that is the end of my assignments. Now for the fun stuff..

This is a photo-shoot I did for my sister and her family. I happened to be home and thought it would be fun to take photos with the changing leaves.

They were great. My niece is so funny. I am so glad I got to shoot them.

Okay, I know that I said no more assignment photos but I have always been wanting to do these type of photos. The assignment was Humor. Since I started school I have been wanting to do a book of all funny portrait photos. Who better to get it started with then my funny dad. The whole time I was shooting we were both laughing. It was so much fun. Thanks dad for being my guinea pig. :0)

Thanksgiving. We a good time. Not all of my family could make it but we had a lot of fun seeing people that don't get to see everyday. I am so thankful for my family. They made me who I am today.
Sorry I don't have more photos. I was busy eating and sharing time with my loved ones. Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving day.

Madi is getting older everyday. Since it's almost Christmas we decided to document her ever changing months with in her special holiday dress.

This shoot got me so excited for the holidays. I cannot wait to have a break from school and bake. There is nothing like Christmas time. :0)

On another note this is what I always look like during Christmas. Sweatshirt and Queen Anne cherries in hand.

My grandparents came to visit us out here. They are from Kansas so we don't really get to see them very much. I am so glad that I was able to get away from school and visit. My grandpa photographs really well so I decided to just photograph him watching a ball game.

He is so adorable.
I seem to have some weird fascination with Christmas ornaments. I am very sentimental about tradition and things of the past.
This ornament was my grandma's when she was a little girl.
Same with this one. She gave us these last year and I love that she shared her memories with us.
These other photos are just some of my favorites.

Madi was so cute today. I couldn't resist taking a few photos.

Alright, I promise next time my post will be shorter. Happy Holidays everyone.

Mini break

If you don't know by now Brooks Institute works kind of weird with the scheduling. How it works is that you cram school in for 7 weeks then you get a week off. This last week happened to be my week off. I of course went home. I didn't do anything too exciting. It was just nice to be able to come home and relax.

I was able to spend time with my adorable niece

Of course Halloween was recently so Walter (my brother in law), Emili, and myself pretended we were kids and carved pumpkins. I must say, compared to last years our pumpkins are very tame. Mine is on the left with the crooked smile, Emili's is in the middle with the star eyes, and Walter's is the one on the right with the big mouth. I can't remember a time where I have ever put a candle in my pumpkin, so this year was a blast. I was so excited to see them glow!

On the actual Halloween day, My brothers company ( Cross Your Heart Clothing) was invited to this event called Justice Day. It was a bunch of non profit organizations coming together to raise money. It was very cool to be there and see all of what people are doing to support their local communities and even other countries. I didn't post any photos of the event however I posted pictures of the kids and family at the event. I wish I would have posted a picture of Cross Your Heart's booth. It was an awesome living room set up. Very Cool Christopher. Any-who, here are pictures of us and the kids enjoying the day.

Ethan was Charlie Brown......soooo cute
Madison was dressed as a Lady bug. My mom made the costume and the hat.
Ethan sharing his Flavor Blasted Goldfish with Grandma (those are his favorite).

I don't know what he is pointing at but he is so cute with his hair blowing and not knowing that I am taking the picture. He was just talking with Grandma and very 'in the moment'
Madi

Ethan loves taking care of his cousin. He is great helper with her. Luckily the fishies never made it into her mouth.
I think this one is so cute. The are both looking in the same direction.
The Cross Your Heart family. My brother is wearing the new design.
